My name is Sofia and I come from a suburban town in Maryland, but truly I consider the political jungle that is DC my home. I recently have graduated from the University of Oregon where I majored in art, focusing on photography and fibers.

In the past my photography had been more focused on capturing whatever in my surroundings, but as of recent, my artwork has been focused more on exploring themes of identity, psyche and insecurities in the context of acceptance, uncomfortableness, anxiety and personal image. I also try to apply fashion and portrait inspired photography towards my work.

I’m also very passionate about exploring/capturing the identity of cities or towns in terms of the people, architecture, attitude and significant moments through my point of view while experiencing the area.
