To Flickr or not to Flickr...I´ve been torn...

Sometimes I think, "am I wasting my time?” most of the time I come to the conclusion that I’m not. It’s not all about me and my photos, but about all the other awesome photos I see there; the inspiring ones, the people I don’t know at all but somehow influence me and are memorable to me. People I’d like to get to know more, but may not ever have opportunity.

In regards to the comments, am I here to post my photos to get comments or just to be a part of a community? A little bit of both I guess. Getting positive feedback is always fun. One of the things I love about Flickr is the genuine positive attitude. You can’t please everyone with your photos; art is so subjective that people’s tastes will always be quite different, thankfully. I came to realize that I’m NOT only posting the photos I think are the greatest; I post many photos that I have mixed feelings about because I love to hear other peoples opinions! It opens my mind, and gives me new perspective on my photos. The photos I’m not so sure are that great get lots of views and comments, when my most precious ones get nothing!

So, the answer is; TO FLICKR. That is no question. This is a great place to get inspired, get new perspective on yourself... your photos. Spending the time to find the people and the images that inspire you is time well spent!
