History

Photography is somewhat new to me. I have always snapped a few shots with film cameras and had to wait to see most of them did not turn out as expected. Then came digital and I was able to take more shots without the extra expense. However, I still was not getting the results I wanted. Every so often the ‘auto’ feature on the ‘point and shoot’ camera would get it right and I had a few great pictures, but not with constancy.

I moved up to a Kodak Z612 and found that I could use the special exposure settings depending upon the conditions and found that more often I would get a great picture. With that, Keith Hanz, a friend of mine who is an instructor in digital photography, gave me a few tips and knowledge on exposure. I then found if I set manual settings I could get the desire effect even more often. I quickly found the limits of the Kodak Z612, which by the way is a hell of a camera for a ‘point and shoot’.

I have to give props to Chris Flores and Rhett Redelings for their encouragement and tips.

About me

I am a visual person and somewhat a geek, so photography is a great hobby. I take pictures for me, but I love comments. I like to take pictures that I would consider art and others that are for memories. You will notice some of my pictures are just to record an event and others are to find the beauty that is all around us.

I believe that there is a picture everywhere. No matter where you are there is a piece of art waiting for you to find it.
