Lots of people have ask what is Snolic? Snolic is the name of our family country retreat The property includes a small foot hill mountain (1873 ft elevation) that is a part of the Arkansas Ozarks Mountain Range. The farm is between a National Wilderness Area and the Ozark National forest. It has a rustic cabin, barns, ponds, natural springs, an outhouse and an one room school house from the early 1900s. Before we purchased the farm it was an organic farm and back in the 60s it was a hippy commune. Snolic has become a special place for our family. We escape the hassle of a busy life and enjoy the wonders of God's nature atop our mountain. Hunting, hiking, riding four-wheelers, sitting by a roaring fire telling stories, fishing, exploring the waterfalls and playing games are the activities enjoyed at our special mountain site. As you can tell by my description of "Snolic" it is my favorite place in the world.

I am an amateur photographer…

I have had a camera in my hands since I was 16 years old. I took photography in high school and learned camera basics. But, it has taken 30+ years for me to really understand how shutter speeds, ISO, aperture, lens, sensors, DOF, white balance, low light, focal point, rule of thirds, framing the shot, contrast, mood, angle, focus points, leading lines, direct light, intensity of light, golden light, sunny 16 rule, backlighting, flash, off-camera lighting and many more principles all work together to make a technically good pictures. It will likely take me another 30+ years to learn how to use Photoshop (good thing longevity runs in my family). I love taking pictures. I look through the lens and see the hand of the greatest artist ever...Christ the Lord. My pictures can never ever do justice to what He spoke into existence.

Every object we behold calls on us to bless and praise the Lord, who is great. His eternal power and Godhead are clearly shown by the things which he hath made. God is light, and in him is no darkness at all…Ps 104:10-18
