9/30/2013 - Equipment update:

I was able to pick up a Refurbished D600 this summer!

Lenses - Nikon 80-200 f2.8, Tamron 28-74 f 2.8 lens that I had been using with my very faithful (and now my daughter's) D40. I finally got into flash photography with a SB-700 and Gary Fong Lightssphere - although I still prefer natural light whenever possible.

I recently picked up a $120 Nikon 50mm f 1.8 and have been very impressed with it!

So, I am in awe of what I have discovered here on Flickr. Especially those who do portraits, self or otherwise. I don't know if I will ever have the eye for that one.

But, I am enjoying looking around and meeting new people and sharing tips, tricks and ideas for awesome photography.

If I favorite a photo of yours, its because I am in awe of it and I will comment to that effect. If I add you as a contact, its because I have found something in your images that has captured my yearn to learn.
