I have always been interested in photography, I don't get mush opportunity to take photographs as my other hobby is being a Civil War reenactor. As I have risen in the ranks I have less and less time to snap pictures. These days I do most of the editing to the images seen on the 8th Illinois Cavalry's website. I try to make the images appear as if taken in the 1860's; daguerreotype and albumen where the processes used at theat time.
