I started in photography many years ago and have been off & on with it over the years. I started in earnest years ago with an Olympus OM1 and OM2 and loved it. I dabbled with some point and shoot digitals, but recently I've been working, much more comfortably, with an Olympus E-500.

With an engineering background, one should understand that my life is full of "realities" & supposedly "hard facts". When I look at a car, I see a machine. I see how it must have been built, how it was probably designed, and all the trials and tribulations it must have gone through during its birth. But my photography gives me a new tool to explore those things that are beyond my "reality". It helps me to search for and hopefully see life from a completely different perspective...almost as though it was through someone else's eyes. My photos are really just for me, but hopefully some of them will give others an opportunity to see things from a different and perhaps somewhat unique perspective too...my slice of the universe...Snap Shackle's life. (Aw, c'mon, I've got to lighten up! This is fun!!)
