As a librarian married to a poet, I have become increasingly transfixed by the art and power of words on paper, while simultaneously worrying about the impermanence of electronic correspondence and writing. A couple years ago, I fell in love with hand-made paper from far-flung countries such as Nepal, Bhutan, India, Japan, Thailand, Bangladesh, England and Italy and began making collages, cards, books and other paper art pieces.
