I have been a professional horticulturalist for over 30 years, but I'm interested in natural history, particularly plants and snails. I'm also interested in canals and have a narrow boat. I mainly read science fiction, through which I discovered Hawkwind, one of my other passions. I love cats and currently I have two, Brock and Sirius.
