The young Daniel Krieger, well-known on Flickr as the one & only smoothdude, is a talented photographer whose work has rapidly improved over the last few years. While first catching the attention of Flickr's talent scouts for his exceptional black & white portraits, the intrepid smoothdude quickly expanded his milieu to include food photos, street portraits, wedding photography and much more. When he's not spending his time taking great photos or editing, Daniel freely shares all the things he's learned about photography. Mr Smoothdude is your man for NYC. Ok so some of the people in his street photos are a little freaky, but I'm sure it's the model not the photographer right? Smoothlube is top notch. One day I was walking down the street in Brooklyn and he was at the corner with his camera, watching me fiddle with my crack-pipe. I noticed a bulge in his pants and quickly asked him for some spare change. He told me he didn't have any but offered to feed me. I've been hanging out in his photostream enjoying his street photography ever since. And his beard is much softer than it looks.

see, here's the thing about smoothie. with him, ya gotta pay attention. cos the man knows what the fuck he's doing. sure, he's sweetness personified, but ya gotta look beyond that at the pure, raw skills. he captures new york in a way no one else does on flickr (or anywhere else, for that matter) -- the people, the lines, the movement, the beat. and his interior restaurant shots and candid wedding portraits are downright professional. let's just say, he makes me wish i could go back in time and get married all over again, if only so's i could hire him as my photographer. daniel is the real deal, and photographically speaking, he's what i wanna be when i grow up.
