I enjoy trying to capture the beauty in everyday life.

I made a new year's resolution for 2008 to carry a camera with me at all times to be able to attempt to catch those "once in a lifetime" moments & I've stuck to it! :) This year's resolution is to get better at it! ;) In the Spring of 2008, I got my first dSLR (Canon XSi/450d) & am having lots of fun with it.

I love seeing all the fantastic and fascinating images all the talented photographers here on Flickr post. The images and the comments of others help to inspire me. My images, however, are usually very simple. Most are captured in and around my home. I love to capture nature in all it's beauty. I've become infatuated with macro (note, I said 'infatuated', not that I've mastered it!) Probably my favorite lens is my Canon 100mm macro. It's so much fun! :)

The subjects I especially enjoy photographing are bugs, flowers, animals, the clouds and the sky. (Nothing brings life to the sky like a set of interesting clouds.) Even though I have a tripod & recently got a monopod, about 99.9% of my images are taken handheld.

Thanks to all who leave comments. They are truly appreciated as are any helpful suggestions. I've been lucky to make some very nice friends here among my contacts. :)
