His photography, like himself, is honest and straightforward. The images range from a simple shot because there is so much meaning and memory behind what you see to pure Art that every detail was observed and worked for. Every time I check my contact page and I see new work from Smendes I click there first and I am never disappointed. I catch myself saying "oh wow" out loud. You can tell that he and his subjects are experiencing pure joy and freedom in their dance in front of his lens as he captures that beautifully for us lucky enough to have found his work. I'm sure all that come here will be as enraptured as I am in the images and stories from the paradise he has found and the wonderful people in it.
