I shoot with a variety of vintage cameras which include plastics, polaroids, jimmy-rigged boxes, and my 'fancy number', a Pentax 67. In addition, I have a few pinholes and homemade cameras, as well as one digital: an old Canon Rebel. I also like to do other forms of art; draw, paint, sculpt. Making art of any kind makes me happy. :)
Do visit my Faves. They are far better than anything in my stream.
I miss the old days on Flickr. It was a true ‘family’ and felt exciting, always inspiring, and fresh. There had been so many changes that at one point it made me question my desire to be here, so I made everything private and lost all my faves. I have learned from and been inspired by several wonderful photographers from my old days on Flickr, and for that I am grateful.
I have a twin sister known as original_ann who shoots amazing medium and large format. She also develops her own film: B/W, Color, and Slide. She's very talented!
I am not much into the social media stuff. I miss the old school internet way, pre- tracking, and algorithms, and data collection. I did open an account on Instagram even though I hardly have any followers. Maybe I’ll start posting there or here again, but for now I’m just an occasional spectator.
Thanks to all who visit, especially anyone who takes the time to go through albums or past one page of the stream. It’s unexpected, but really makes me happy.

Although all of sMacshot's photos are boffo-licious it's the instances when she takes seemingly innocuous subjects and transforms them into something far more sinister that really tingle this cats whiskers.Take "fur" example the cab driver without a face beckoning one to take a ride with him to hell and quite possibly… Read more

That bed looks comfortable you say? Look again it's actually made of marshmallow fluff quicksand. These and many other wonders may be visited here but don't linger too long or you might have to deal with Daisy.

I've seen heaps of amazing work on Flickr, abstract and real - but this artist is in a realm of her own completely....... so much talent from a self-confessed late starter. If i could choose one person from Flickr who's eyes I would like to see through it would be sMacshots. Trying to find a way to describe to the ethereal quality of the newer polaroid series is like trying to search for the holy grail - it is impossible, for they mutate and flux before your very eyes. There are so many of these I would have on my walls it is frightening! AND I generally prefer bare walls. Andrew

sMacshot keeps surprising me, again and again.
sMacshot has the unerring ability to take an apparently meaningless subject - such as a weed growing out of a wall - and lay on the "Hollywood" treatment, turning it into a distant vision of glamorous beauty. sMacshot has the unerring ability to take an apparently meaningless subject - such as a weed growing out of a wall - and lay on the "Hollywood" treatment, turning it into a distant vision of glamorous beauty. I think it absolutely unthinkable that she ever takes even an ordinary picture. Everything that follows her shutter opening and closing is hallmarked with original style and panache. I particularly appreciate her more recent work with the Holga and the Diana and feel she has already seemlessly forged a true niche in the world of plastic lenses. Oh yes, I nearly forgot....... she even writes great tags.
Read lesssMacshot creates masterful dreams in her photos; she's constantly transporting me to astonishing new realms with her magical creations. She's also an amazingly generous commentator and overall one of the most pleasant flickr-ers out there!
sMacshot's images are drenched in the most beautiful, burnished amber light -- they're lush as honey, and just as sweet. she sees things everybody else misses because she sees with her eyes -- and with her heart. I am so grateful for her presence here.
I've become a horrible commenter myself (meaning I hardly leave any), but I'm so happy I have such a visitor as sMacshot in my stream. I won't say anything about her own photos, everyone knows that they are gorgeous.
sMacshot is a contact that i must vist frequently. one of the best on flickr, not to mention one of the nicer people too. sMacshot is a wonderful like minded creative, and we in the art community are fortunate to have an inspiration such as her.
This is my 1st testiomonial to ever writeon Flickr and I have been in it for a year. Your images captivate me. Every one of them makes me stare and just think, "How in the world did she get that?" more depth and thought in any one of her photos than in most peoples' entire streams
sMacshot is a master at faux vintage processing. Her photos are engaging and every detail in any given photo works well together conceptually. And all of this shot with a digital powershot camera. Amazing. I look forward to seeing more work from her.
sMacshot is not only niftier than raspberry jam but also takes a mean, mean photograph. whoa!
