In December, 2009, I was given a diagnosis of Acute Leukemia, with a high probability that my life would be over in only about a week. But by the grace of the Lord God Almighty, and the mercy of Jesus Christ, I was able to come through with the power of the Holy Spirit to the place I'm at now, in complete remission.

Since then, I have taken up photography as a hobby and to relieve some of the stress that I have had. Since the finances were very limited, I started out with my old Canon PowerShot A510, and soon added the barrel adapter to use filters and tele-converter lenses. In December of 2011, I received a new Canon PowerShot G12 camera as a Christmas present, and I love this camera. I purchased the adapters to use the tele-converter lens, as well as the filter adapter to use my filters. In January of 2014, I purchased a Nikon D3100 with the 18-55 and 55-200 lenses. Starting to get more serious about this hobby and looking forward to learning so much more.

Recently I purchased a used Nikon D300 and an 18-140mm lens. This is my favorite setup for my photography. I also purchased a used Nikon D100, which is old and slow, but has really taken me to the next level of photography. Not much automatic on this rig, so I have to really plan every shot.

I have made the transition to mirror less ILC's with the Nikon Z50. I received this as a gift along with the 16-50mm and 50-250mm kit lenses. Great camera and lenses! My new go to camera.

The DSLR's are not getting much use lately, except the D3100 due to very long battery life. This is now my camera that I use for work.

Praise the Lord, He has given me opportunities to take some nice photos. But I have a long way to go, so please give me some constructive critiquing to help me improve. I take inspiration from the Lord Almighty and all the great photos I see every day on Flickr!
