"Responding to the needs of communities affected by damage from the December 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, World Learning's School for International Training (SIT) has collaborated with Sarvodaya (www.sarvodaya.org)--one of Sri Lanka’s most respected development NGOs--to offer a one-year service-learning Master of Arts in Sustainable Development. Based entirely in Sri Lanka, the program is designed to provide a 12-month M.A. degree in sustainable development while contributing to the recovery efforts of local communities."
