SLam is a hobbyist photographer at best.

I'm currently adding about a 7 year backlog of photos to my Flickr account.

My gear includes:

- Nikon D850 usually with a variety of Nikkor lenses

- I also dabble a bit with digital infrared and attempting to try out digital UV photography.

I usually avoid using a flash and favour natural lighting. Obviously I'll use one if lighting conditions absolutely require.

Besides the obvious family & friends photos, I typically like shooting:

- Cosplay (costume play)

- Air shows & air craft

- Car shows & automobiles

- reclaimed nature photos

- close-up shots of the horizon :P

Photos/collections I tend to dislike:

1) Foot amputation photos. You know the ones, where the feet are missing in a full body shot? My rule is... you shoot the knees, you shoot the feet!

2) Kids photos of the kid on the toilet... I think that's only cute to the parent.
