I got the bug about 10 years ago when I took a photography elective in college. I spent the first 8 years collecting antique cameras. Currently I have over 200 functioning models - a few of them are rare and most were gathered at 2nd hand shops, ebay, and estate sales. I started with a used Pentax K1000 which is still my favorite film camera for studio and still life work - because of the built-in light meter and fully manual controls. My first digital SLR was a Canon Rebel XT which was a great introduction to the digital world. I recently moved to the Nikon D300 and I've fallen in love all over again. I still have a great fondness for film and the process of capturing images, developing negatives, and processing prints but I find working digitally easier (and cheaper) for obvious reasons.
I had my first exhibit at a local gallery this year and sold a few prints. A very gratifying experience...
My favorite subjects are landscapes, still-life, etc.
I am always open to tips/tricks and constructive criticism, so I welcome and appreciate any input folks are willing to take the time to provide.
