I started photographing in earnest in my twenties after changing careers from science to journalism. After traveling and doing photojournalism for about 6 years, I returned to Finland to start a beauty and fashion magazine. In my forties and fifties, I was running an advertising company until I came back to do personal photojournalistic projects as I am still doing.

My photography comes from a long span of time - I have been photographing for most of my life. One thing has remained with me through to this day - the brand Nikon. I started with film and went over to digital starting around the Millenium. Still happily snapping with my nikons, but now also occasionally with a smartphone (amazing progress there).

Now I have finally some time to put pictures online and the Flicker community really resonates with me. There are so many talented people and wonderful picture streams available that it boggles my mind. And it has been going on for almost two decades. I am very happy to have landed here - for me the fun starts just now. Lately I have also found the wonders of AI, which is changing the photography landscape so fast it's hard to keep up. There is a creative revolution going on and nobody knows where it will take us.
