I have been watching Skyburst's stream for some time now and he never ceases to amaze me with the quality of his shots. I've also had the privilege to spend some time talking about photography with him, not to mention sitting with him during a couple of firework shoots and seeing some wonderful artistry in progress. Coupled with his extremely dry sense of humour, which always makes me giggle, I'm grateful to him for helping to re-kindle my own interest in photography - long may it continue! Thanks for the inspiration Steve.

I've had the privilege to get to know Steve (aka Skyburst) through his masterful photography and his devotion to this magical site. One look at his photostream will tell you about the man's unique abilities as a photographer - he is truly gifted behind the lens. But unless you are a Flickr fan, you might not know that this caring person spends many hours encouraging others by his kind visits and positive comments to their photostreams. Flickr is a better place because of Steve and we're very fortunate to have him as a leader within the Flickr community...

Steve certainly does an excellent job in not only the photos he posts to Flickr, but also in the admin duties in all the groups he does have admin duties in, including Flower Close-Ups that I originally started, Flower Factory, and Flower Themes. I have put a lot of his photos as part of my Favorites, and have even chosen some as Admin Faves in Flower Close-Ups. And I enjoy it when Steve posts any of my flower photos as part of his Favorites and as Admin Faves in Flower Close-Ups, Flower Factory and Flower Themes. Steve's co-admins of Flower Factory and Flower Themes also get lots of credit for their work and are also friends of mine.

I have known Skyburst for more than 30 years to date. I even have one of his photos which he kindly framed and gave to me last christmas. He has an uncanny knack of asking people questions on a given subject and the next time you see him he knows more about the subject than you do. He once asked me how to operate a 286 PC within two months he new more about personal computers than I had learnt in two years. His photos are all put on system as full size and I really recomend everyone to view then at this size as they will all come to life with stunning detail. Which seems to be lost when viewed smaller. I have made a comment on the Jubilee fireing photo, as I cannot beleive nobody else has. That photo viewed at original size is an outstanding shot even down to the slightly blue sky in the bottom right. colour and detail sharp and precise. Keep those pictures rolling in as I can now view them at work on this excellent web site. Regards Murff
