Welcome to my aviation Flickr page. I'm in my mid-40s and currently live on the south coast of England. I love photography (aviation, mostly, with some maritime photography and animals as well), heavy rock music, astronomy, geology, wildlife-watching, football and travelling.

I have always enjoyed watching planes but only took up photographing them in 2014, although I have always done photography in some form or another, since I was 12. Please check out my website at flightlinephotography.uk

My camera gear I have used over the years includes the following:

Mid 1980s to 2004: Nikon 35mm film SLRs with lenses of varying (mostly dubious) quality, before I changed to digital with a Nikon D70 in January 2005. I switched to Canon in 2008, because I wanted their 400mm f/5.6, before returning to Nikon in 2014.

2008-2014: Canon 20D, 40D and 7D, latterly Canon EOS 6D, 1D Mark III and 70D DSLRs with Canon 24-105mm L, 70-200mm f/2.8 and 100-400mm L lenses.

From 2014: Nikon D750, D800 and D7100 DSLRs with Nikon 300mm f/4, 70-200mm f/4, 35mm f/1.8 and 18-105mm DX f/3.5-5.6mm lenses.

<2016-2017 Nikon D750 and D4 DSLRs with Nikon 300mm f/4, 70-200mm f/4, 80-400G f/4.5-5.6 VR and 24-70mm f/2.8 lenses. I now also have a Nikon AF-S 200-500mm f/5.6 zoom, which I bought at the end of November 2015.

From winter 2017: Nikon D750, D810 and D500 DSLRs with 70-200mm f/4, 80-400G f/4.5-5.6 VR and 24-70mm f/2.8 lenses. I now also have a Nikon AF-S 200-500mm f/5.6 zoom, which I bought at the end of November 2015.
