This body of work consists of photography in which I try to create art that is not only meaningful to me and interesting to look at, but also gives off a palpable energy. I create images in this way because I feel that art that translates a mood or “vibe” can reach our emotions and make the viewer not just think, but feel. Before attending my current college, SAIC, I was self-taught. I love photography as a medium because it is extremely engaging, as I really have to live in the moment when I’m capturing moments like a car doing a burnout or sneaking in an abandoned building. It allows me to explore things while artistically documenting them.
