Just another amateur photographer. I like street photography. I generally shoot RAW if possible and use a variety of cameras, all digital these days. Apart from photography I like Jazz ( mostly piano ), movies ( mostly old ) and pizza ( mostly pepperoni ). I watch football ( that's soccer to some of you ), and am no longer bothered by a need to play the game.

As a programmer I have an unhealthy interest in image processing. This is mainly done with GIMP ( for JPEGs ) and either Darktable, RawTherapee or LightZone for RAWs. With GIMP I also use the G'MIC plugin ( strongly recommended ). Keen observers ( or those of you who need to get out more often ) will spot that these are all Open Source applications.

I use Linux unless forced ( or paid ) to use something else.

I am the sole surviving person on the planet not to have been infected by Smartphoneitis. I do have a tablet and am ecstatic that it does not run Android, iOS or Windows in any form.

I would be loath to buy a camera without a viewfinder. You should be too.

Photography is for patient people, and all like all photographers I hope to meet such a person one day,
