My name's Jeff and after finishing up with my studies in graphic design and drawing & painting I took a job in interactive advertising about 20 miles from where I went to school. After six months of driving myself crazy with the commute I decided to move into a new place a whole lot closer to work. My main motivation was simple: how much is your free time worth? (Not to mention gas and toll road bills.) With the extra 3 hours a day I get by moving closer I get a lot more time to address my space.

I've never really attempted to design a space or even really decorate. Most the pieces I have were either hand-me-downs or things my sister bought back when we shared a place. With this new opportunity for a clean start and my first real place I can call my own, I took the opportunity to apply all the stuff I learned in art school, in graphic design lectures and practice, and of course the countless hours I've spent watching home improvement shows.

I'm having a blast and really want to share my story, achievements and failures with everyone. Lord knows I've peeked into my share of "your" apartments via daily blogs like apartmenttherapy. And I'd really love some critiques and feedback. Thanks!
