Welcome to my little corner of Flickr…

I take pictures because I enjoy being creative. Not because I’m looking for a photographer, a model, a collaborator, or anyone else to “help” me realise my creative vision.

So, just to save everyone a little time:

 

I’m NOT interested in collaborations.

I’m NOT looking for a photographer.

I’m NOT looking to photograph another model.

 

Seriously… you can stop typing the message now. 😂

 

I create my images because I enjoy the process. Sometimes that means taking photographs in-world. Sometimes it means completely changing an image. Sometimes it means tweaking my AV for hours because something is almost right but not quite. And sometimes I get an idea in my head and won't rest until I've beaten it into submission and finally got the result I wanted.

 

That’s the fun of it.

 

And yes… I use AI.

 

There, I said it. 😱

 

I’m not remotely ashamed of it, and I’m certainly not going to pretend otherwise just to satisfy someone else’s opinion of what constitutes “real” creativity.

 

But before anyone decides they need to educate me on the subject…

 

DISCLAIMER: NOT ALL OF MY IMAGES ARE AI.

 

In fact, I’m perfectly competent with Photoshop and Photoshop Elements. I’ve spent years picking up tips, tricks and techniques from graphic designers who know the software inside out, and I’ve learned a fair few things along the way myself.

 

I’m quite capable of taking an image in-world and turning it into something I’m happy with. I’m also quite capable of using AI when it suits the image I’m trying to create.

 

AI is a tool. Photoshop is a tool. In-world photography is a tool.

 

I use whatever works for the idea I have in my head.

 

So if you’re here expecting me to conform to your preferred method of creating images, I’m afraid you may be disappointed.

 

I’m not trying to prove anything.

I’m not competing with anyone.

I’m not asking permission.

 

I’m just creating.

 

And if I like the finished picture, that's really all that matters to me.

 

So enjoy the images, leave a comment if you like them, and by all means have an opinion.

 

Just don't send me a collaboration request.
