Recent arrival in the world of photography, although I picked up my first Box Brownie when I was about 9yrs old. Published poet, with a professional background in therapeutic social work; have spent most of my working life in the field of healthcare as an educator, trainer & policy developer.
I am however, profoundly dyslexic. This has been a considerable burden academically & professionally, but I have enjoyed the benefit of having a photographic memory which has aided me as an effective coping mechanism in the management of this condition of perception!
I lived in the North Eastern US for 4 years - really enjoyed the experience of being part of another culture during that time.
My children are pretty much grown, so I have more time on my hands (oh really?). In the garden a great deal, find personal therapy & boundless beauty when I have my hands in the soil.
