Sobre el origen de la iniciativa

Esto surge como una idea de Matías Linder, argentino, residente en Portugal, para colaborar a subvencionar un proyecto de alfabetización bilingue en una comunidad Mbyá Guarani en la Provincia de Misiones, Argentina. Todos los que trabajan en esta propuesta lo hacen ad-honorem, aportando su tiempo y trabajo y obviamente es una iniciativa sin fines de lucro. Convocamos a quienes desean ofrecer su trabajo o tiempo hacer crecer y difundir esta propuesta.

 

De qué se trata

La mayoría de nosotros hacemos regalos de Navidad a personas que tienen todas sus necesidades primarias y secundarias satisfechas, la propuesta propone prescindir de esos regalos y destinar los fondos que hubieran servido para comprarlos a esta causa. La tarjeta será el regalo de Navidad para dichas personas, y su costo será donado a nombre de ambos a la fundación ProyectARG, quien tiene a su cargo la implementación del programa de bi-alfebetización (guaraní-casellano) de la aldea Guaraní "Guaypoy" en la Provincia de Misiones, Argentina.

Esperamos que muchos se atrevan a participar y a difundir esta iniciativa.

This Christmas I would like to offer you my affection in a different way. When I was thinking about what to give you I realised that many times we do not know what to offer because most of us do not have important needs, materially speaking. At the same time I became aware that somewhere else there are people who do have them. For this reason I decided that you and I would take part of this great community project.

 

Therefore, this Christmas, our present is for them.

 

 

The Mbyá Guaraníes of Guapoy village in Misiones, north-eastern Argentina, would like to thank you for helping us have the hope of a brighter future. We send you our best wishes for this Christmas season.

Guapoy Village

 

The Bi-alfa programme in the Guaraní village of Guapoy

Misiones Province, Argentina.

The Bi-alfa is a novel programme that combines pedagogical strategies to literacy in both, Guaraní and Spanish languages. It covers productive development, care for the environment, equality, human, civil and cultural rights, and the community’s wellbeing and health, focusing on reproductive health. The programme was developed by an interdisciplinary team of ECLAC (Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean - regional Commission of the United Nations), including the participation of national specialists and local informants. The objective is to run this programme on 400 Guaraní speaking adults, 75% of which are women and 25% men. The programme lasts 12 months and has an average cost of around €100 per person.

 

Proyectarg is the NGO responsible for running the programme.
