Look at other people's photographs. Looking will explain your own work to you in a way that you could not find alone.

I became interested in photography after seeing an exhibit of Imogen Cunningham's work at the Seattle Art Museum in 2010. Her whites were so real, they reached out and washed over me and changed me and made me want to try something, to try to make something real too.
