Sahil Lodha (b.1989) is an Award-Winning Photographer based between London, Paris and Mumbai specialising in Portrait & Fashion photography with an interest in Social Documentary,Weddings,Travel & Culture Photography. He occasionally shoots stills for films.

The Research he pursues finds its centrality in the human figure and as such humanism is central to his practice in which he documents his subjects in a way that allows him to capture the rawness of the interaction between him and his subjects.

He wants to emphasize Individuality, Uniqueness and the Essence of a person and in doing so, try to capture the Intimacy between him and his subjects. What he loves about photography is the balance between the technical aspects and then also a more poetic quite spontaneous process as well. The interaction of Art and Culture within a globalised world fascinates him. A vivid syncretism with FilmMaking combined with story-telling empowers his photography with great communicative potential and Visual Impact.

What excites him the most are "ideas" Not for idea's sake, but one with a purpose.

He believes that If we can re-imagine our everyday in a new way or have an eye to spot something unique in the ordinary it can transform the way we think or live or create, and there lies its power. But an idea that truly comes alive is one that is rooted and nurtured in the spirit of collaboration.

Photographs are much more than just pretty pictures. Each pic is an experience - almost visceral. he imagines himself inside the image as his eye travels the scene, taking in every detail. It is this deep connection to the photograph that ignites his desire to create his own images and physically experience these places.

He is drawn to photography's inherent nature of capturing fragments of time and isolating them as documented moments. Photography, as such is such a powerful medium because you are essentially stopping time for your convenience. Time, afterall is such a bitch.

>> It is the photographer's job to see more intensely than most people do.He must keep in him something of the child who looks at the world for the first time or of the traveller who enters a strange country - Bill Brandt

>> Today everything exists to end in a photograph

- Susan Sontag

>> "A thing that you see in my pictures is that I was not afraid to fall in love with these people"

- Annie Leibovitz

>> Iv always had the biggest crush on Natalie portman

How wonderful it is to be young and passionate about something. Moreover, how amazing it is to be so well aware of oneself and appreciative of the beauty of life that surrounds us. Sahil is one of those special people who embodies such qualities and manifests his exuberance and values via the art of photography. Clearly he is rife with talent and clearly we are better for it. Thank you for sharing your vision with us. I look forward to watching you develop as an artist. Cheers, Lorenzo!
