I feel very close to his photos, since I use the same tools (PTGUI, GIMP, Hugin, Nodal Ninja), probably in attempt to realize the same kind of pictures. Simon's equirectangulars have a beautiful light, a precise geometry (see the precision of the floor). They are always well centered, so that the equirectangular projection is pleasant even before enjoying the immersive view. See how he used the stereographic projection in a way that magnifies the cherry trees, and smooth the crowd that was sitting underneath. And above all let me say this technical mastery serves an great aristical sensitivity. You will get aspired by his Japanese atmospheres. I am glad to add Simon to my contacts in order to follow his evolution...
