Ran off and joined the circus, have been travelling ever since.
Like nothing better than to get my hands stuck into into natural dye-pots and vats- as long as they're not yet hot!!- Indigo especially, reminds me of Celts painted blue...wonder if they dipped their moustaches aswell? Once had to get into an Indigo vat, as I'd dropped a penknife in there somewhere - very squelchy between the toes. All my nails came out a brilliant blue , took ages to return to a greyish pink...there are some bits you really cant scrub!!
I'm a Sagitarius, which I've been told accounts for my fiery nature - others say crotchety, impossible, tempramental etc, but I just put it down to an intollerance for Chilli.
My favourite film is 'Beyond the Valley of the Dolls' Who wouldn't want to be like Zee Man..!
Can't stand handwashing my clothes....worked for years in theatre, which contrary to all glamourous mis-interpretations means washing skids after the show if you worked in the wardrobe dept. , which is what I did.
Got into textiles because you don't have to fit scarves or lengths of cloth on tetchy actors, and egomaniacs. You really don't have to talk to anybody if you dont want to...Maybe your indigo vat if you want to get it to work beautifully. A flat piece of cloth never answers you back- haven't tried working with psychedlics recently- and you don't have to smooth people's egos all the time, and respond to 'dear', 'petal', 'honey', or my personal favourite, 'love'. Especially annoying at the best of times, but particularly so if you are a 6'4" hairy man! Was it the chillies again maybe?
I've gone to ground in India for a few months to make things using silks, cottons wools, madder, logwood, indigo, and various other animal, vegetable and minerals.....
Didn't like beer that much until I found I was in a dry state, and couldn't get it even if I didn't want it.
