I've been into photography for years. I got my first SLR (a Praktika BC3) when I was 13 and I've been hooked ever since! I ended up with my own darkroom and spent hours developing and printing. I passed 2 City & Guilds modules with distinctions, one of which covered darkroom and black and white printing. Eventually I took the plunge and went digital in 2004. My darkroom is packed away in a box in my parent's garage if anyone is interested! Though I love digital and all the benefits it brings I do miss the darkroom - nothing beats the magic of seeing the picture emerge on the paper in the dev tray.
