Joe McNally has said that "the only way to keep your heart beating as a photographer is to shoot what you love." Because I very much enjoy my beating heart, I've chosen to follow that advice. And so, after four years of journalism school, I've decided to put photojournalism on the back burner and shoot what I love--people, extreme sports, and music. I'm making art on my own time now and loving every minute of it. Here's to forgetting about what people expect of you and following your own path.
