Photography means constant inspiration. To go out and explore is great in any case - but it's much more satisfying if I do it with a lens! Although I keep hunting for the right kind of light as much as any photographer does, I've discovered that something always is happening out there, and more important than gear or perfect weather is my own mindset. If I can get myself to see - really see - things around me, great and small, and be inspired by them, that's when I enjoy photography the most. I need to take my time and I need to concentrate totally on what I'm doing and that in itself is an experience I cherish.

To learn and get inspired by others is a very important part of cultivating this love of photography that I've had since I was allowed to take my father's precious Pentax SLR out into the garden. My gear has changed, but the passion is still the same.
