For me, photography is a way of remembering all of the beautiful things in the world that I would too soon forget. I think I also put myself behind the camera so that I don't have to appear in front of it. :-)
I shoot with a variety of gear both digital and film even more often now. I've especially enjoyed shooting light sensitive paper in large format cameras. I travel with an 8x10 and create a positive image from a scene in less than 20 minutes. I'm about to receive an 11x14 on my journey to eventually shooting 20x24" paper "reversal prints", as they are called.
When I need something light and small, I'll often shoot 120 film in 6x9 or even 35mm film in my trusty Nikon F100. On a rare Tuesday night when there is a full moon, you might even catch me with a Nikon digital mirrorless in my hands.
