For me, photography is not just about capturing a moment, a place or an expression - it is more about the feelings or emotions that rise from the portrayed situation. Usually these feelings are perceived only by the photographer, that is in direct contact with the subject, at the same place, at the same time - but the skill and art is in being able to create the same emotions inside the viewers' hearts.

Hopefully, one day I will be able to achieve this to a high degree; until that day, I'll experiment, learn, fail and repeat. Sometimes, in another order...

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen, nor touched ... but are felt in the heart. (Helen Keller)

Cristi is a person who will always find new ways to surprise you with his thoughtfulness, imagination and artistic skill. He has a "wonderful eye" for capturing the most diverse moments - his stream ranges from landscape and nature photography to very abstract, philosophical ones (which, I admit, I love the most :). But he isn't only a great, evocative photographer but a splendid human being. Starting from his unusual hobbies such as mint rubbing to his tendency to always look at a photo and think about it before commenting - thus producing beautiful insights into your own soul. Cristi, keep it up - if I recall, Paul Gauguin once said that art requires philosophy, just as philosophy requires art - because if it didn't, what would become of beauty? I tell Gauguin now that he should not worry as long as you're here. ;)
