I work as an illustrator, comic author and educator. My work has appeared in The New York Times, Yeti and Smoke Signal. After nearly a decade in Brooklyn, New York, I moved to Leipzig, Germany in 2010. As well as having studied and worked at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst in the illustration class, I have also cofounded the first independent comicbook and graphics festival in Leipzig "The Millionaires Club". James Turek is also the author and illustrator of the book "Make My Day", a German/English learning book, released by Klett Kinderbuch in the fall 2013.
