"HDR is crap." - Me
I started taking photos back in high school. My mom loaned me a Konica SLR that I used to learn on. At that time I worked at this drug store by my house and my buddy ran the 1 hour photo lab there. He would process my full rolls of film for me and charge me for only 2-3 photos. This allowed me to fire off endless rolls while I worked on technique.
I was a staff photographer and eventually Photo Editor for Humboldt State University's weekly newspaper (The 'Jack). I got to shoot a lot, and expand my knowledge of photography and graphic design during that time. That experience led me to the position of Graphics Editor at Humboldt State's magazine (Osprey). Both publications won awards from the Society of Professional Journalists.
I am now a contributing photographer to Getty Images and regularly freelance for Seattle Weekly. I am available for nationwide travel for commercial and editorial assignments.
