Sean Fan is a current student at the University of Washington, graduating in 2026. He is active in Seattle and Issaquah, Washington. He was born in Taiwan, and moved into the City of Sammamish in 2012. His photography has won awards in the National Geographic Youth Photo Competition, and he hopes to not only continue his journey, but also inspire his peers in the challenges of photographing mundane objects to convey artistic expression.

He is now employed at The Daily UW newspaper (Conference Sports & Breaking News Coverage), The Husky Union Building's Marketing and Communications Department (Event Coverage), The City of Issaquah Parks and Community Services Department (Athletics), and the Montlake Futures NIL Collective (Name, Image, Likeness branding for student athletes). He has served as the photo editor for the Sammamish Independent Newspaper at its founding.

Sean started photographing in sophomore year of high school, when he was onboarded as a Staff Photographer for the Junior State of America (JSA), a club for political activism. He worked up to the role of Director of Production in the Pacific Northwest region. He has been taking casual photos of people, landscapes, food, architecture, and memorable places ever since he saved up for a camera while working for JSA. Such subjects are constantly dynamic, and each new nuance brought on by circumstances means a brand new challenge to tackle. These challenges are the reason Sean continues to bring his camera everywhere.
