I have lived in the Imperial Valley since 1970 and enjoy every moment. The Imperial Valley is one of the largest farming area in California producing all types of field and produce crops. The Glamis Sand Dunes are located about 19 miles west of Brawley and attract thousand of winter visitors. I enjoy landscape photography and specialize in desert scenes as well as agricultural photographs in Imperial Valley, California.
For the past 10 years my wife and I have enjoyed spending our vacations in West Yellowstone Montana. We especially enjoy our visits to Yellowstone National Park which is a fantastic area for landscapes and wildlife photography. For many years I used Nikon film cameras and a Mamiya ProS, but changed to a D200 Nikon in June 2007.
My wife Tina was born in Sicily and we have been to Italy five times in the past 50 years, spending at least three weeks in her hometown of Pedagaggi, Sicily which is a small village about 25 miles from Catania, Sicily. During our most recent trip to Italy in 2006, I used a Sony Cyber W100.
Most of my recent photographs were made with a Nikon D200. Recently I have been using Photomatix for HDR photography which is a great program to see a composite of photographs with great highlights and shadows.
