I am born and brought up in Kolkata, in the true spirit of a bangali babu. I picked up my first ( and second) camera when I was 13 years old. However my love with photography is only off and on, the good thing is it is currently on.

 

Equipment I have used:

1. Snapper - 35 (When I was 13 years old)

2. Hotshot - 110 (The same)

3. Olympus OM2000 with 35/70 mm Zuico zoom lens and Vivitar flash ( 2001 - 2002)

4. Sony DSC-P51 (2003-2007)

5. Olympus SP510UZ (2007-current)

6. Sony Alpha D300 (2008-current)

7. Vivitar DF 200 Digital Flash (3)

 

However, the years with Sony DSC-P51 was the worst in my photographic career. After switching over to an automatic point and shoot after a manual SLR made me lazy (Okay, okay ... I was lazy from the beginning) and I unlearnt everything I learnt with my OM-2000 SLR.

 

I have gone back to an advanced point and shoot (with full manual mode) , and learning the tricks of the trade again.

 

I am married, and have a baby boy. Two of them, and my mother are my prime models.
