ShoreZone is a coastal habitat mapping program using aerial imagery taken by helicopter. Images from Oregon up to Alaska have been taken for the past 25 years and are available publicly. People can use the imagery for many different things: planning a vacation or field work, oil spill planning and response, etc. Information on the geomorphology and biology of the coast is mapped and used for coastal planning and management.
