The Shooting from the Hip project
This project grew out of my desire to capture real people doing real things. City folk, commuters’ shoppers, office workers the people I saw every day but didn’t see. I wanted a moment in time that I could go back to, where my path crossed someone else’s, and then diverged again. I began to roam the city streets with different cameras and set ups but always shooting from my hip literally and metaphorically. A lower view of life if you will, from waist level.
After several hundred captures I began to look at these shots and I saw that I had lots of pictures of women. I do find the female form more pleasing. But it made me realise my desire now was to share them. I thought I needed to get these shots out there for other people to see, to enjoy or to be disgusted by. I wanted other people to indulge or acknowledge my voyeurism. And so the websites were born,

Linking, feeding and eating each other like a tangle of snakes. A point in time where you dear reader and I cross paths electronically rather than physically. They will grow and bloat I am sure, but for now they are my children and I must feed and nurture them.
I am thoroughly enjoying the experience and hope to continue until I get bored or I get arrested…
