Dear Shoot to Save. You are one of the few guys here who welcome criticism. Some other guys say that they will delete negative post. I'm just an amateur, but once I visited a photo club. The leader - a famous photographer - said: every time everybody will show 10 photos while the others must - must - criticise them. That is the only way to learn and develop. But not everybody should learn and develop. Make pics just for fun. And do not think that others doesn't like them. And do not think that they like them just because of the boring and nothing-telling posts.

I can see your work making good progress. None of us was born knowing anything about this stuff! We all have to go through the learning process and I can see from your choice of subjects and experiments with light that you're absorbing the work of others to inform your own. Well done. You might like to study the work of master painters to see their interpretation of light. From the greats of Vermeer, Rembrandt, Dali, Picasso to the less well known but equally accomplished Henri-Horace Rolande Delaporte and Jean-Baptiste Simone. The latter two is where most of my still life inspiration comes from. Keep going - good luck!
