There are many great photographers on Flickr. Some capture magnificent landscapes, some show amazing fashion, others their diverse culture in vibrant color. Then there is Sharaff. Every image on his stream is exquisite. Not just for the quality of the shot, but also for the story and emotion behind it. I have not seen anyone who can capture "the moment" like he can. You can see it in the facial expressions. You can see it in the action taking place in the shot. You can also immerse yourself in that moment by reading the stories and quotes. However or whenever that might have been, I am so glad I did. sharaff’s images are so inspirational, and coupled with his words of wisdom and the music and the videos to which he links most of his images, browsing his photostream has always been an enriching experience for me. sharaff wrote in his profile: ‘Like Ansel Adams said, “A great photograph is one that fully expresses what one feels, in the deepest sense, about what is being photographed.” I try to do that in each capture.’ I can see, and I can sense, that sharaff’s images, as diverse as they are, express what he might have been feeling when he captured them.
