My name is Derek Brown, I am a 22 year old Digital Graphic Artist/Designer who lives in East Tennessee.
I have been drawing since I was about 8 years old and after I graduated high school, I really got interested in digital art and design. I wanted to excel my skills much further, so I enrolled in the Graphic Arts program at Tennessee Technology Center at Morristown. There, I was taught almost everything there is to learn at that time about Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and a little about photography.
I graduated in December 2009 and from there I started to work at my current job at the Citizen Tribune - A local newspaper in Morristown, TN. There I work in the Special Publications department where I do month to month magazines and publications rather than a day to day paper.
I also taught myself HTML & CSS. I hand-coded my personal portfolio website & the independent online magazine that me & my wife run called Paper Aquarium Magazine.
