The Norwich University Provisional Battalion is a specialized and diverse military training Battalion within Norwich University. The Provisional Battalion consists of various specialty units, such as the Regimental Band, Drill Team, Cavalry Troop, and Headquarters/Headquarters Company. These units offer students opportunities to practice leadership development and teamwork experiences

Norwich University has a rich history of producing capable leaders and fostering a strong sense of camaraderie among its cadets. The Provisional Battalion plays a crucial role in this by providing students with hands-on training, character development, and a chance to excel in various military-related activities.

The specialty units undergo extra rigorous training apart from rookdom and often participate in events that showcase their skills, such as drills,

parades, musical performances, and other public presentations.
