I got my first DLSR in June 2012. Before that I had only point-and-shoots, but also experimented a little with my dad's old Pentax 35mm. Although I always enjoyed photography on my travels, I recently re-discovered the joys of photographing scenes of everyday life closer to home as a great way to focus on the present (sorry, no pun intended!).

As a beginner, I have so much to learn, but I'm enjoying the challenges along the way, both artistic and technical, of trying to capture the world the way I see it. Constructive comments are most welcome!
