Whether in front of the camera lens as a much-in-demand model herself (MM# 629610), or behind the lens as a still photographer, Shirley Ly is completely at home in her own photography studio. Raised in southern California, Shirley has spent the past few years creating a great list of past clientele and exciting future projects.

Behind the lens, Shirley has already established herself as one of the most innovative and creative among the select up-and-coming crew of West Coast photographers. Her keen eye and personable spirit sets both Ly's candid and posed stills in a class unto themselves. Her uncanny ability to use the color palette in post-production can be described as nothing less than a gift.

Ly has her own ideas when it comes to working with models. "I'm looking for that ONE great shot, that one perfect instant of time, where I am hopefully able to capture something very special on camera. Something both the model and myself can both be not only pleased with, but proud of..."

As a model herself, Ly has worked with many photographers on the West Coast, many of whom she considers personal mentors in her own career as a photographer.
