Basically I am a student of Mathematics in Visva-Bharati University but I pursue photojournalism with sincerity as a freelancer.

I realize that photography has immense evidential value and hence it is not just a tool oriented form of art. I want to face the truth from the front and to depict the reality by taking up challenging photography assignments. Specially, I am interested in social issues, folk culture, cottage industries, tribal culture, nature etc. Editing and technical aspects are also important to me. I and some of my colleagues have initiated a photography club to create consciousness in this regard at Santiniketan.

I have worked for newspapers and published photographs in different journals as freelancer. Some of my photographs are exhibited in different exhibitions.
