Sherwin Yang (Mandarin: Yang, Yi-Hsiu) is born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan. He obtained a bachelor degree in finance at National Taiwan University and was an exchange student at University of Vienna, Austria. Currently he studies in IMPACT Music Program at Taipei National University of the Arts. He is an experienced music producer for film score, theatre music design, song and instrumental composition and also arrangement.

Sherwin has revealed his talent and interest in music since childhood. He has started learning classical piano at 4, violin at 6, and guitar at 12. He has had exposure to classical music as pupil, got to know more about pop music, rock as well as metal during high school. In his days at university, jazz, ethnic, electronic music and sound art have broadened Sherwin’s intimate knowledge of music. Nowdays he spends most of the time learning Taiwanese traditional Nanguan and Beiguan music.

He was an exhibitor in 4th International Theatre Soundscore and Composition Exhibit World Stage Design 2017, accepted by Pop-Kultur Nachwuchs, Berlin, accepted by Taipei Film & Media Project Promotion as composer. As for practical experience, he worked respectively in Sky Castle Music and Sony Music Production Department as intern, produced score cooperation of released films in cooperation with Ice Bird Studio, the pianist of PINE League Student Choir Festival held in Tsinghua University (Beijing) and the guitarist of National Concert Hall Jazz Big Band.
